WHO WE ARE
We are Social Entrepreneurship & Innovation at NC State University, working to inspire and support changemaking on campus and in the local community.
Our goals as an organization are to:

Educate and empower students and faculty in new methodologies to improve the human condition

Transform existing organizations, businesses, and ventures to be more innovative, sustainable, and effective change agents

Innovate | Connect | Impact
As a land grant university, our goals and priorities are closely tied to the community around us. We want to make sure our students and faculty have the skills and support to make the positive impacts they want locally and globally. It is integral to the health of our world that the students of today are exposed to the importance of empathetic, creative, and thoughtful leadership required in a changemaker so they can truly think and do the extraordinary.
WHAT WE DO
Our organization tries to support and inspire student innovation in a number of ways, from dinner seminars to year long programs. Two noteworthy programs we have are our Social Innovation Fellows and our Social Venture Development.
Social Venture Development includes providing students with mentorship and guidance in developing their venture ideas. We hold annual competitions where teams of students get to compete their ventures against one another and win funding to make their idea into reality.
The Social Innovation Fellows is an integral part of our organization and is changemaking in action. It is a fellowship that aims to connect local and global ventures with a multidisciplinary group of students to overcome social challenges through design thinking tactics.
